Content Drip addon

The Content Drip addon (Pro) controls when each item becomes available.

Where you set a rule

Drip is configured per item, inside the content editor. Open a lesson, quiz, or assignment and find the Content Drip setting (it appears when the addon is active). Items without a rule are available immediately.

The four options

The Content Drip dropdown (“Choose when this content becomes available”) offers:

• No drip — available immediately (the default)
• Available on a specific date — reveals an Available date picker; unlocks on that calendar date for everyone
• Days after enrollment — reveals a Days after enrollment number; unlocks that many days after each student enrolls
• After completing prerequisites — reveals a Prerequisite items multi-select (lessons, quizzes, and assignments grouped by module); unlocks once those are complete

What students see

Locked items show the reason in the curriculum:

• Date/days: “This content will be available on {date}.”
• Prerequisites: “Complete these first: {items}.”
• Not enrolled: “You must be enrolled to access this content.”

Drip only ever tightens access — it won’t unlock something that’s already locked by enrollment or sequencing. Upcoming unlocks also surface in the student dashboard.

Good for

Cohort courses (specific dates), evergreen courses with pacing (days after enrollment), and mastery paths (prerequisites).
