Google Classroom addon

The Google Classroom addon (Pro) brings students from Google Classroom into a CourseGlade course as real enrollments.

Set up the Google app (admin)

In Settings → Google Classroom, paste your Google Cloud OAuth Client ID and Client Secret, and copy the shown Authorized redirect URI into your Google OAuth client. Each instructor then connects their own Google account.

Import a roster

Go to CourseGlade → Google Classroom:

1. If not connected, click Connect Google and complete the consent screen.
2. Once connected, your Classroom classes appear as cards — click Import roster on one.
3. In the import dialog, choose the course to import into. A preview tells you how many students are in the class, how many new accounts will be created, and how many existing accounts will be enrolled.
4. Click Import roster. A result panel shows New accounts, Existing enrolled, and Failed.

What happens to students

• New students get a WordPress account (as students) and an email with a link to set their password and sign in — the password itself is never emailed.
• Existing accounts matching an email are enrolled in the course.

This is a one-way roster import (Classroom → CourseGlade). Google account tokens are stored encrypted, and access uses standard Google OAuth consent that instructors can revoke.

Schools and tutors who already run classes in Google Classroom and want to deliver richer or paid coursework through CourseGlade without retyping their student list.
